Meet Marissa, Our Homeowner
I would encounter the word “kairos”, in the mass I regularly attend. Kairos - an opportune or fitting time. A Kairos moment - God’s appointed moment to act. This is how the Yellow Slipper and I came to own each other.

I had always loved the water so much so, that my Lola Geling made her fish ponds into a pool for me. But vacations were rare when I was in the news business, where I worked for 35 years. And vacations detached from work were impossible. After all, “hindi natutulog ang balita”.
Short trips to the Yellow Slipper were ideal. I love the privacy, its smallness, the simplicity of community life.

When I ended my stint as Sr. VP for News and Public Affairs in October 2022, it was Kairos. A fitting time when Yellow Slipper needs my strengths and values, and I need Yellow Slipper to learn new things and make new friends. Uwi na po tayo.
